About this ride
Bitola has a relaxed, elegant feel all of its own. Its main street, Shirok Sokak, is lined with pastel-coloured buildings from the days when foreign consulates filled the city, and just outside town lie the ruins of Heraclea Lyncestis.
The drive from Skopje follows the highway south and then climbs gently through green hills and farmland. It is a pleasant, easy journey, and your driver is happy to make a coffee stop or a short detour on the way if you ask.
