About this ride
Ohrid is the place almost every visitor to Macedonia wants to see. Its old town climbs a hillside above a vast, crystal-clear lake, with Byzantine churches, cobbled lanes and waterfront cafes at every turn.
The drive winds west through mountains and forests, passing the towns of Tetovo, Gostivar and Kichevo. It is one of the prettiest roads in the country, and a private car means you can stop for photos whenever the view catches your eye.
